Card of the day - 21/07/09 - Giratina LA

As there aren't many people currently posting in the CotD section, I'm going to start wiriting reviews aswell to start people off. I am also going to start taking request's for the CotD via PM, so if you want a card to appear here in the future then just ask! Anyway, here is today's CotD, Giratina LA!

Giratina

Giratina (One of the mascots of the Pokemon Nation ) Is a great card in general. For a basic, 100HP is very sturdy, resistance to colourless is good with all the Flygon about and weakness to dark is OK as it is not seeing much play atm. 3 Retreat cost is bad, but with things like Moonlight stadium and switch, it isn't that hard in the current format to retreat it. It's first attack, Shadow force, is 'mehh' at most. For a {p} and a {c}, having the ability to do 20 to any Pokemon on your opponents side of the field is bad. Honchcrow G does this faster, harder and more epicly than Giratina. However, it's second attack isn't that bad. Brutal Edge does 50 plus 10 more for each damage counter on the defending Pokemon, so if you did combine this with Shadow Force you potential could get some nasty damage going out... If you're not KO'ed by that turn, that is!

I actually believe this was the wrong choice for card of the day, it should have been Broken Space Blow Giratina from Platinum. Legends Awakened Giratina is a poor and an unbelievably unplayable card.

My rating is a poor 3/10.

Giratina is a sturdy pokemon.4 energy for shadow force is to much it can kill but it will still be hard to kill any pokemon when you have to charge that much.3/10

i personally think girratina ....well is pretty good but it has up's and downs.it's attack's r really powerful but they have less accuracy so u cant expect it to hit but if it hits then the opponent could go bye bye.

Seviper - What do you mean by 'Less accuracy'? This is a pokemon TCG card, not Pokemon Platinum/Diamond/Pearl. Click on where it says Giratina on the first post to see what I mean
